I think what stands out the most about Inclement Emerald's rebalanced roster is that weather is more abusable. I would love to play this again, maybe after it gets another significant update. Having them optional would be amazing, at least for Challenge Mode, which is what I played. Emerald's pretty open like that, and I can see why linear progression isn't enforced, and why there are no level caps after Flannery. I battled too many optional trainers and went to too many optional routes. ![]() Between that and Winona, I had gained over 20 levels, so I was in the 70s by Gym 6. Back to the gripes, I blame myself partially for them, as I leveled up way too much after the last level cap, which was Flannery. I recommend it as an alternative to Radical Red or just if you want a great Emerald experience. A lot of my gripes with the hack don't need to be taken too seriously, as the hack is still in its early stages. The AI could still use some optimization. There are measures taken to make certain aspects of grinding better, though I still find some of it sluggish, especially when it comes to Exp. ![]() ![]() The difficulty is of course harder than your average Emerald with the AI being notably smarter. Almost all the Gen 1-7 mons are here, with Gen 8 to be implemented in the future. For a hack that's been out for about a month, this is already massive and expansive.
